Get to know Dr. Adam McGarity

Dr. McGarity graduated from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. As a Charlotte native, he attended Charlotte Catholic High School then NC State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. After Veterinary School, Dr. McGarity and his wife moved to Rock Hill. He worked for nine years at Palmetto Veterinary Medicine and Surgery in the small town of McConnells and later helped open Palmetto’s second location in Rock Hill, where he learned a common-sense approach to veterinary medicine. After the birth of his second child and a year and a half of planning and building (all while working at Long Animal Hospital in Charlotte), Dr. McGarity opened his own practice, Mill Town Veterinary Clinic.

He is an active member of the South Carolina Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. In his spare time, Dr. McGarity enjoys spending time with his lovely wife of 14 years, Amanda, and their 2 children, Alister and Claire. Together they enjoy cooking, riding bikes, and camping. The McGarity’s have a big black Golden Doodle named Captain (inspiration for the logo) and a cat named Little-Girl. Learn more about Dr. McGarity.
