Amor Artis 1 Year Anniversary Celebration Saturday, January 26
Amor Artis will be celebrating their first year in business on Main Street in Downtown Fort Mill on Saturday, January 26th, from 12pm -9pm with beer releases and charity drives all afternoon and evening long. According to Travis Tolson (co-founder) the event is a celebration of the great employees at Amor Artis and the unbelievable support and love from the Fort Mill community. Furthermore, each keg tapped from 1pm-6pm will have $0.50 per pint donated to designated charities selected by the Amor Artis staff. Charities include: Wren's Village, Karson's Kompassion Project, Evelyn's Voice, The Bulb, Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation, Anne Springs Close Greenway and the 809 Foundation.
The beers slated to be tapped on Saturday include a peach sour, blackberry sour, dry-hopped sour, barrel-aged belgian, strawberry sour, barrel-aged imperial stout and a black sour that has been aged for 12 months in Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whisky barrels. We were lucky enough to get a taste of the imperial stout and the black sour, and event attendees are in for a treat on Saturday as these are among the best beers we have tasted at Amor Artis. Tolson and his staff bottled 700 bottles of the black sour and they will be on sale for $16 a bottle – and well worth it!
Over the past year, Amor Artis has helped revitalize Main Street and bring traffic back to establishments downtown. It’s been a landmark year, where according to Tolson, the brewery produced 64 unique beers. The versatility of the beer selection plus the four flagship beers (Fort Pilsner, Sospeso Coffee Blonde, Majestic and Crusin’ Down the Street in My 6.4%) have made regulars out of many locals and attracted beer aficionados from all across the Carolinas. Tolson’s main idea behind the brewery when opening was to create a comfy, friendly watering hole for locals with a focus on superior ingredients and product. To say they have achieved this is an understatement.
We hope to see you at Amor Artis on Saturday to celebrate this great business and support some fine charities. Amor Artis in its first year has blown us away with their beers, hospitality, and support of the community, and we can’t wait to join them in kicking off their second year on Main Street.
