There’s a lot going on this fall and we want to make sure you have all the information you need to partake in upcoming events in Fort Mill. From weekly live music nights to charity galas, fall festivals, and trick-or-treating, we think you’ll find something worth donning your best flannel for.
(1) Sunset Sessions at the Greenway Gateway
Dates: Fridays in Sept. and Oct., 5-8PM
Details: On Fridays in September and October, enjoy live music at the Greenway Gateway while watching the sun tuck behind the trees. Dinner, small bites, local beer and wine will be served by the Gateway Canteen. Bring a blanket or chair, but no outside food or drinks allowed.

(2) Main Street Oktoberfest in Downtown Fort Mill
Date: Saturday, Sept. 21, 3-9PM
Details: Don your lederhosen and head to the Main Street Oktoberfest. Enjoy German-style beer, live music at 6pm, 20+ vendors, a best dressed contest, yodeling contest, and a stein holding contest! All contestants sign up at the main stage between 3-4pm. Winners will receive a Hobo’s or Amor Artis gift card.There will also be Cibi Cibi and My Sausage Buddy food trucks, face painting, mini pumpkin painting, and more!

Date: Monday, Sept. 23, 6:30-8PM

(4) Business After Hours with Piedmont Medical Center at Rock Hill Brewing Company
Date: Thursday, Sept. 26, 4-6PM
Details: In conjunction with York County Regional Chamber of Commerce, this After Hours events with PMC is a great networking event that will include the introduction of Piedmont's new “Community Built on Education” corporate lecture series.

(6) Dog Gone Good Time Festival at Walter Y Elisha Park
Date: Saturday, Sept. 28, 10AM-2PM
Details: Hosted by the York County Humane Society, the whole family plus up-to-date vaccinated canines are invited to join in on the fun. Tell your dogs that bacon scented bubbles will be waiting for them!

(7) Harvest Festival at Lake Wylie Brewing
Date: Saturday, Sept. 28, 2-11PM

(8) Fort Mill Police Dept. National Night Out at Veterans Park
Date: Tuesday, Oct. 1, 6-8PM.
Details: National Night Out is an annual community-building event promoting police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie that helps grow our community. The event includes emergency response vehicles, awareness booths, kids activity zone, free Kona Ice, free, Chik-fil-A sandwiches, free Little Caesars pizza, giveaway and a DJ.

(11) Lanterns and Legends hosted by the Fort Mill History Museum
Dates: Oct. 4, 5, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26. 6:30-7:30PM, 7-8PM, 7:45-8:45PM
Details: Take a guided walk through Main St. learning about the history as well as some local ghost stories you may not know about. The tour will start in the Unity Cemetery located at 303 Tom Hall St., will proceed down Main Street and conclude at the museum.

Details: Dance the night away at Fort Mill Rotary Club Charity Gala benefitting the Foundation for Fort Mill Schools and other local and world-wide Rotary International causes. Live music by Nashville's rising star Haley Mae Campbell.

(14) Pumpkin Decorating Contest at Improper Pig
Date: Saturday, Oct. 5, 4:30-6PM
Details: Kids ages 3-13 have a chance to win a $25 gift card to The Improper Pig and choose the restaurant’s next ice cream sandwich flavor! Pick-up your complimentary small pumpkin to decorate during operating hours from Oct. 1-4. Drop off your decorated pumpkin on Oct. 5 between 2-4PM to be judged. Come back to Improper Pig on Oct. 5 at 4:30PM where the winner will be announced and you can enjoy light snacks.

Date: First Monday of the month; Oct. 7, Nov. 4, and Dec. 2. 6PM

(16) Walk the Downtown Fort Mill Scarecrow Crawl and Vote
Date: Saturday, Oct. 11; on display through from Oct. 7-31.

(18) Fall Frolic at the Anne Springs Close Greenway
Date: Oct. 12-13, Oct. 19-20, Oct. 26-27. 10AM-4PM
Details: The whole family is welcome! Kids will enjoy wagon rides, mazes, slides, pedal carts, games, kayaking, a petting zoo, cow train and more! Horse rides are also offered on Saturday and Sundays at select times for $5 per ride. Pumpkins available for purchase. Gateway Canteen will offer food for purchase. No outside food or alcohol allowed.

(25) Springmaid Trail Race at the Anne Springs Close Greenway
Date: Saturday, Nov. 2, 8AM-2PM
Details: Join in on the storied tradition of the Springmaid Trail Race. You have the option of the 5k + Dog Jog (top overall pups get medals!), the 10k, or the Half Marathon – or just hanging out to cheer on friends! There will be music, food and cider available for all, as well as free race snacks for runners. All proceeds go toward the Mary Warner Mack Dog Park. The Dog Park open house is also this day so go check out the 12-acre Cadillac of dog parks so you can see what this race supports!

(26) The Colonel’s Club Boil and Brew at the Anne Springs Close Greenway Field Trial Barn
Date: Saturday, Nov. 9, 3-8PM
Details: The Anne Springs Close Greenway Colonel's Club presents the inaugural Boil & Brew benefiting the Greenway's Education Programs! Rain or shine get your ticket for great food, music by Chunky Daddy, and family fun! Music begins at 4pm with activities for the kids (Gaga Ball, Corn Hole, Ladder Ball and more). Adults can try their luck in the 50/50 raffle! Tickets include all-you-can eat low-country boil buffet and dessert provided by Carolina BBQ and Catering plus 2 adult drink tickets. Amor Artis Brewing will have their new beer on tap and other vendors from the YoCo Brew Trail will be on site with an array of drafts.
