11 ChristmasVille Activities to Catch in Rock Hill Dec. 5-8


Christmas is here at last, which means York County and beyond will soon be flocking to Rock Hill’s award-winning, 14th annual ChristmasVille presented by Piedmont Medical Center.

From Dec. 5-8, Old Town Rock Hill comes alive as a charming, picturesque holiday village and outdoor art festival. There are 100+ events including horse drawn carriage rides, historic tours, carolers, art, theater, dance, music, a crafts, ladies night out, sip & shops, paint & sips, Santa activities, ice skating, a pancake breakfast, and MORE! While there's a lot of events, we've listed 11 activities worth noting!

(1) Reindeer Romp 5K Run/Walk at Fountain Park Stage

Take part in the 12th Annual Reindeer Romp benefiting Girls on the Run Tri County SC. The race starts and finishes at Fountain Park. Start your day with the race then stick around for Christmasville fun!

(2) Piedmont Medical Center Booth at the Olde World Village (Fountain Park)

Enjoy free ornament making, photo booths, characters & more! The characters will be available at the PMC table at the times below: The Grinch: Friday 11am-2pm & Sunday 1pm-pm2 Freddy The Polar Bear: Friday 12:30pm-1:30pm, Sat 1pm-2pm & Sunday 2pm-3pm Grant the Gnome: Fri 2:30pm-3:30pm, Sat 3pm-4pm, & Sunday 3pm-4pm

  • Friday, Dec. 6: 1pm-5pm

  • Saturday, Dec. 7: 10am-7pm

  • Sunday, Dec. 8: 12pm-5pm

(3) City of Rock Hill’s Christmas Parade

The whole family can get into the holiday spirit at the annual Rock Hill Christmas Parade. It will feature both homemade and commercial floats, local high school bands, mascots, businesses, walking units, and of course Santa!

(4) Gingerbread House Contest and Display at Center for the Arts

  • Thursday, Dec. 5: 9am-5pm

  • Friday Dec. 6: 9am-5pm

  • Saturday Dec. 7: 10am-7pm

  • Sunday, Dec. 8: 12-5pm

(5) Artisan and Craft Market on Caldwell and Main St.

Check off your Christmas list while supporting local. There will be more than 50 vendors for you to shop from!

  • Sunday, Dec. 8: 12pm-5pm

(6) Hop On and Off the Holley Trolley

There are seven stops throughout Old Towne so you can eat, drink, and be merry all without having to drive and find parking! See trolley stops here.

(7) Winter-Inspired Beer Tasting at Main St. Bottle Shop

Swing by before the parade for a free beer tasting!

  • Friday, Dec. 6: 3-5pm

(8) Live Entertainment at the two main stages, restaurants, and on the streets

There are numerous music performances happening throughout ChristmasVille. You can expect to see artists at the two main stages “Fountain Park Stage” and “Main Street Stage,” in local restaurants as part of “Feast & Frolic,” as well as artists strolling the streets during the festival.
