A Pump House Wine Dinner to Remember; Next One on Jan. 30

Have a special occasion, or just planning a girls night? We can’t recommend the 5-course wine dinners at The Pump House enough! It’s hosted in a private event space with 7-person communal tables and your seat of choice. The atmosphere welcomes the opportunity for conversation, or it's easy to keep to yourself if preferred. The event maxes at 40 so it’s not too big nor loud.

We saw a bit of everything – girl’s night, date night, birthday party, retirement celebration, and singles – anyone who is interested in wine and unique dishes. We also overheard, “It’s just a good deal!”

Most people we met were repeat visitors, and now we know why. The food and wine are incredible, and simply put, it's a fun evening! The dishes are original and more creative and unique than what you find on the restaurant menu; they're made specifically to pair with the evening’s wine. See below for a glimpse into our evening menu.

We started with prosciutto-wrapped lobster atop toasted brioche with apricot jam surrounded by pea yogurt, grape tomatoes and vanilla foam.

Next up, prime beef tartare, creole mustard aioli, green peppercorn on arugula salad, and cured egg yolk.

Followed by, crispy herb lamb chops with mashed potatoes, bok choy, currant, and cocoa gastrique.

One of our favorites was next, the braised short rib ravioli with tomato ragu, red wine and short rib jus, and a parmesan crisp.

Lastly, apple streusel cheesecake with a brown sugar oat crust, apple compote, streusel, and honey gastrique.

The Pump House chef makes an appearance to explain the dishes and ingredients, and the wine representative speaks throughout the evening, guiding you through the wines so you understand what you’re drinking, how it pairs with your dish, how it’s made, where, and the story behind the vineyard.
