Learn more about Chef Sarah in a recent Q&A.
Q: Tell us a little about yourself!
A: For me food and nutrition have always been closely linked to each other with the idea that fresh is best and full flavor and many colors probably means its good for you! This discovery sent me Boulder, Colorado where I went to culinary and nutrition school to learn how to cook and choose foods that both taste delicious and help people feel healthier!
My food journey continued as I worked as an intern on organic farms in both Colorado and New Zealand. Returning to the states, I spent time in wedding catering perfecting skills in the kitchen. It’s always been about trying something new and different in the food world.
Q: Where did you get your love for food?
A: Growing up with allergies forced me to be creative with different foods and this turned into a fun challenge learning how much variety and versatility there is in the foods we eat!
Q: What do you enjoy most about cooking for others?
A: I love to teach about food through my cooking. Taking a broccoli hater and turning him into a Parmesan Roasted Broccoli lover is one of my biggest career successes! This happens when meal prepping, preparing a dinner party or in a cooking class teaching both kids and adults how to experience food differently.
Q: What's one of your favorite services you provide and why?
A: I really enjoy preparing weekly meals for my clients knowing I'm helping them provide nutritious and delicious meals for them and their families when life and schedules might get in the way!
Q: What do you enjoy cooking the most?
A: Simple seasonal meals like Wild Caught Butter Braised Seared Salmon with Smoked Paprika Roasted Radishes and Creamy Mushroom Risotto. This is a hearty-winter-going-into-spring dish!
