Maui Açaí launches second traveling food truck and açaí cakes
You may know Maui Açai as the food truck by the Baxter YMCA, but with the launch of their second truck, you'll be seeing them all around town! Their YMCA truck will act as their permanent location at 857 Promenade Walk, while their second truck will be used for events and neighborhood visits.
This healthy, refreshing food truck was exactly what Fort Mill needed when they opened in downtown Fort Mill two years ago. Their açai bowls took Fort Mill by storm, but there's a new menu item that's drumming up excitement - açai cakes! Your favorite flavors (or build your own) in cake form! It's the perfect addition to cookouts, birthdays, or any occasion that you’re looking for a unique, healthy, and refreshing treat.
CAKE INFO Cakes are 10”, serve about 20 people, and must be ordered four days in advance. Three options are available:
Hawaiian Cake for $59.99 - Açaí base, Banana, strawberry, kiwi, blueberries, pineapple and coconut flakes
Nutty Cake for $54.99 -Açaí base, banana, strawberry, Nutella, PB and sliced almonds
Build-Your-Own Cake for $51.99 - Açaí base, three fruit of your choice.

BACKGROUND
Owner Juan Ramirez gives credit to his daughter for the opening of Maui Açai. He would make bowls for her, and she persistently begged him to share his delicious concoctions with Fort Mill - so he did.
Juan's favorite thing besides sharing his dream with his community, is the community itself. He says the support from its amazing people is what keeps him going and what has led to the growth of Maui Açai.
With another full-time job and being a full-time husband and parent, you may not see Juan everyday but his awesome team is dedicated to greet you with a smile, respect, and always fresh ingredients - Maui Açai's business philosophy.
Maui Açaí is committed to supporting our community and is always looking for ways to give back. When COVID-19 hit they donated 4% of each purchase back to the community, using it to buy groceries and household items for those in need. They also donated proceeds from their wine tumblers to the Fort Mill Relief Fund, which raised money to support local businesses during lockdown.
