Locally owned by mother-daughter duo, Blow Out! Beauty & Dry Bar takes glam to the next level
Starting a new business has its challenges, but managing it in the middle of a pandemic is even more challenging. This hasn't stopped the passionate mother-daughter duo Caroline Wells and Patti Whisenant from growing Blow Out! Beauty & Dry Bar.
The full-service salon opened in 2018 as York County's first dedicated blow dry bar. As Fort Mill natives, Caroline and Patti wanted to bring the sophisticated style of blow drying and unparalleled convenience of a dry bar concept to the heart of their hometown.
Several months after opening, the team took customer requests to heart and decided to become a full service salon and spa in addition to Dry Bar services. Offering trendy hairstyles, hair cuts for the entire family, professional makeup, customized facials, full body waxing, organic spray tanning, eyelash extensions, luxury skin care and hair products, Blow Out! is your one-stop shop for all things glamorous. In addition to the variety of services and spa-like pampering, Blow Out!'s legendary customer service is second to none and the satisfactory experience of every client is at the core of its mission.
Blow Out! Beauty & Dry Bar's talented team was recruited with a vision in mind. They searched for and continue to hire career-minded individuals with a passion for excellence, motivation for continuing education, and the desire to make every guest feel glamorous. Not only do they hold their team to the highest standards, the salon itself is an elite Redken color specialist salon. ABOUT OWNER CAROLINE WELLS
As a child, Caroline loved playing dress up with makeup and hot rollers. In her teenage years, her passion for beauty drove her to pursue a job in the industry at age 17. She worked for Estee Lauder throughout college, advancing to regional makeup artist and skin care specialist. Here, she realized her deep passion for the industry, so she continued her education and received her Esthetics License.
At the end of the day, Caroline feels fulfilled by her small-business accomplishments. Knowing that Blow Out! is her own, that she's a fair boss, and can help others feel glamorous is what makes her happy. She's grateful for the opportunity to do so in a town she has loved for so long.
