If you love Fort Mill history (or just love cool, behind-the-scenes experiences), this is for you!
To help kick off the 2025 South Carolina Strawberry Festival, the Town of Fort Mill is opening the doors to a truly iconic space—Col. Elliott White Springs’ historic office, tucked inside the old Springs Industries headquarters (now Fort Mill Town Hall).
Friday, May 2
Drop in anytime from 2–6 PM
205 N. White Street | Fort Mill Town Hall
Why it’s worth a visit? Because this office isn’t usually open to the public. And because Col. Springs wasn’t just a textile magnate—he was a huge force in shaping the Fort Mill we know today. His office has been thoughtfully preserved to reflect that legacy, and this rare open house gives you a front-row seat to it.
Here’s what you can expect:
A guided look at the preserved office of Col. Springs
Insights and stories from Fort Mill History Museum volunteers
A peek at rare artifacts and memorabilia
Light refreshments
Whether you're a history enthusiast, Springs legacy fan, or just curious about Fort Mill’s roots, this one-time event is something special. Come early—space is limited, and once the room fills up, you’ll want to be on the inside!
