The Blue Star Blitz is set to take over the Anne Springs Close Greenway on Saturday, March 15 -- a day packed with high-energy races, nature-filled challenges, and festival fun for all ages. Whether you're a first-time participant or a seasoned athlete, this outdoor recreation festival offers the perfect mix of competition and celebration in Fort Mill’s scenic 2,100-acre natural playground.

Exciting Race Options for Every Skill Level

This year’s event introduces a variety of challenges to suit different abilities and adventure styles:

• Scenic 5K & 10K Trail Races – Whether you're a beginner or an experienced runner, these stunning courses provide the perfect challenge.

• 5K Hike Challenge – Enjoy the trails at your own pace with this untimed, self-led hike.

• Adventure Race (New!) – A thrilling test of endurance, navigation, and multi-sport skills. Participants can choose between:

  • 2-hour or 4-hour competition – Race against the clock to find as many checkpoints as possible (mountain bike required for the 4-hour event).

  • Family-friendly untimed adventure race – A great way for young explorers to get in on the fun!

    
    

All courses weave through the Greenway’s diverse landscapes, from rolling hills to wooded trails, giving participants an opportunity to embrace the great outdoors while pushing their limits.

Post-Race Fun

After conquering the trails, the excitement continues at the Lake Haigler entrance, where participants and spectators can enjoy live music, local craft beers, food from the Gateway Canteen, and the Schroering Forest Playground for kids.
