Fort Mill and towns nearby sure know how to throw a celebration for our nation's 248th birthday! To ensure a full and festive July 4th 2024, we have compiled a list of ways to make the most of the day. From spectacular fireworks displays to community parades and family-friendly events, there's something for everyone to enjoy.


Friday, June 28th 

6:30pm - 9:30pm

Located at Indian Land School Complex

Fireworks begin at 9pm

Celebrate Independence Day with a little food, music, face painting, games, fun, and FIREWORKS at the Indian Land School Complex! Gates open at 6:30pm, fireworks begin at 9pm and lasts 20 minutes. More details here.


Saturday, June 29th

Starts at 12pm

Located Lore Brewing

Enjoy an early Independence Day Celebration at Lore! They'll be celebrating all day with festive Jell-O Shots, beer, patriotic Hard Seltzer options, smash burger trays starting at 2pm, popsicles, live music from 3-6pm, Karaoke with DJ Xtreme at 7pm. More details here.

Wednesday, July 3rd

6pm - 9:30pm

Located at Walter Elisha Park

Fireworks begin at 9:15pm

Join the Town of Fort Mill as it celebrates our Nation’s 248th birthday with food, fireworks and fun at the Independence Day Celebration on Wednesday, July 3! This free event will be held from 6-9:30pm. at the Fort Mill Amphitheater and Walter Elisha Park, 345 N. White St. The celebration will feature music, food trucks, vendors, roving entertainment and children’s activities. Piedmont Medical Center-Fort Mill is hosting kid's crafts. More details here.


Thursday, July 4th

10am

Located on Main St. Fort Mill

The Town will host a special patriotic ceremony to commemorate the occasion with Town Council, South Carolina Strawberry Queens, special music and local dignitaries. The resident cannoneers, the Short Family, will do the honor of firing the cannons. This will be their 51st year leading this historical event. More details here.


Wednesday, July 3rd & Thursday, July 4th

Located at Carowinds, visible throughout the park

Celebrate Independence Day with a breathtaking patriotic fireworks show on the state line. Carowinds’ Star-Spangled Nights Fireworks Spectacular on July 3 and 4 is perfect for all ages. More details here.


Thursday, July 4th

9am-12pm

Head to the Crandall Bowles Children's Farm for a photobooth with your favorite farm animals decked out in their patriotic best! Bring your own camera/phone and they will provide props to help you capture the perfect selfie with your animal bestie. More details here.

Located at Baxter Village

On Thursday, July 4, Baxter Village will kick off the day at 9:30am with the 21st Annual 4th of July Parade! With 150+ parade units, expect to see bands, floats, shriner’s performance units, clowns, classic cars, sports mascots, street entertainers, decorated entries and more! 12pm - 9pm

Located at Main St Rock Hill 

Fireworks begin at 9pm

Join this family-friend event where you will find rides, inflatables, face painting, water play, food trucks, a beer garden, and live music, then end the day with a big fireworks celebration! More details here.

Located by the Buster Boyd Bridge (several locations to view)

The fireworks display will take place Thursday, July 4, 2024, at approximately 9pm by the Buster Boyd Bridge, SC, Hwy 49 at Lake Wylie. More details here.


Thursday, July 4th

6:30pm - 10pm

Located at York Middle School

The City of York's Annual 4th of July Celebration will be at the York Middle School, 1010 Devinney Rd, York, SC, from 6:30-10:00pm. The Carolina Soul Band will be performing, and James Thompson from Big Woo Radio will be hosting. There will be food trucks and a fireworks show at the end! More details here.
