NothingPink: Raising Awareness and Support for Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer

Founded in 2015 right here in South Carolina, NothingPink is a non-profit dedicated to spreading the word about hereditary breast and ovarian cancer and supporting those at high risk and with diagnoses. After facing her own battle with breast cancer and a positive BRCA2 test result, Kelly Kashmer started the organization to create a supportive community for women going through similar experiences.

NothingPink's mission is to promote genetic testing and preventive options for breast and gynecological cancers, offering essential support for those with positive results or cancer diagnoses across the Carolinas. Over the years, the organization has grown, forging strong partnerships with advocacy groups and healthcare providers to enhance early intervention and improve outcomes for those at risk.

Check out the extreme impact they have made; and if you're interested in learning how your DNA can affect your health, join their virtual Q&A on July 16th at 12pm.

Since opening The Roots in February, they've tripled the number of women served within the first quarter. This welcoming space in Rock Hill, SC provides a space for support, education, and resources, including programs such as local peer support groups, care packages, and financial assistance.

Celebrating 10 years cancer free for Kelly Kashmer

One of the highlights of NothingPink's year is the annual NothingPink Gala. Now in its 9th year, the 2024 Gala promises to be a fantastic evening with over 300 guests, including medical professionals and local businesses from the Greater Charlotte area. The event features a live and silent auction, dinner, and dancing - all in support of a great cause!

The event will be held on Saturday, September 14th, 2024, starting at 5:30pm at The Magnolia in Rock Hill, SC. Your participation supports this amazing organization in its mission to provide essential services and support to those with genetic mutations or cancer diagnoses, helping to create a future where awareness and early intervention saves lives.
