Stuff the Bus this Saturday August 5! Collect school supplies for Fort Mill students in need
Updated: Aug 4, 2023
As part of the Classroom Ready program, the Foundation for Fort Mill Schools hosts an annual Stuff the Bus drive to help Fort Mill students prepare for the upcoming school year.
The Foundation has again partnered with F3 of Fort Mill to safely collect school supplies at the Tega Cay Walmart this Saturday August 5, from 8:30am-3:30pm, during South Carolina's tax free weekend!
Shoutout to J Tea Tega Cay in the Crossroads Plaza shopping center for again donating big to Classroom Ready! For their second anniversary serving bubble teas and delicious banh mi, they donated a record number of pencil sharpeners to help students be Classroom Ready.
Shoutout to Melissa Wood, a long time Fort Mill resident and veteran, who supports Classroom Ready every year in a big way!
Another shoutout to St. Paul's Episcopal Church for their continued support of Classroom Ready. They are a smaller congregation making a huge impact in the lives of Fort Mill students. St. Paul’s collects tape throughout the year and each summer goes above and beyond providing additional supplies Classroom Ready may be low on - this year, dividers and spiral notebooks!
MORE ABOUT CLASSROOM READY:
Classroom Ready operates ALL YEAR! They work with volunteers in the supply room and with supply drive hosts throughout the community. During their distribution weekend in August, they distribute 500+ backpacks to Fort Mill students in need. Throughout the school year, they process supply requests from guidance counselors and maintain the supply room with the help of volunteers.
The Susan McCrae Moore Supply Room is located at 120 East Elliott Street; their big red donation bin is located near the entrance on the back side of the building and is available 24/7. You can make an appointment for larger donation drop-offs.
