Where you can have a scary-good Halloween in Fort Mill

The Main St. trick-or-treating will not be happening this year due to COVID, however, there are still many local ways to celebrate. From art classes, car shows, and trunk-or-treating, to a haunted house and drive-in movie, we've got you covered with 14 spooktacular events.


A fun and free way to get into the Halloween spirit. With ~117 scarecrows to see and plenty of restaurants and shops to explore downtown, you can make a day out of it!

 

Make a clay owl (10/16), enjoy a sip & paint night (10/29) painting a black cat and moon, or make a clay pumpkin (10/30).

Cost: $45-$55.

 

On Oct. 17, from 10am-1pm, kids ages 5+ will have a spooktacular time unleashing their inner artist.

Cost: $55.

 

The Fort Mill History Museum’s 4th annual Lanterns & Legends 1-hour walking tour is back! On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays learn about Fort Mill history along with some local ghost stories.

Cost: $15.

 

Enjoy open air scare zones, haunted miniature golf, zombie axe throwing, food trucks and more every Friday and Saturday in October. 

Cost: $15.

 

The paw-ty kicks off on Oct. 31! From 11am-2pm partake in games, food, and special appearances from adoptable pets.

 

On Oct. 30 from 5:30-9pm, drop the kids off while you enjoy a night out. Kids will enjoy pumpkin painting, face painting, crafts, costume contest, dance party, and more! Ages 5-13.

Cost: $20 for members and $30 for non-members

 

On Oct. 30, 6-9pm, kids will have a blast at their very own costume party! They'll create a personalized 9″x7″ project featuring a photo of themselves in their costume, with the opportunity to use real power tools in a safe environment. Pizza, punch, and popcorn will be served as they watch a kid-friendly movie.

Cost $55.

 

On Oct. 31, enjoy a drive-in family movie night as they show E.T., a classic family film! The lot opens at 7pm and the movie begins at 8pm.

 

On Oct. 31, from 10am-4pm, swing by Breadsmith in Fort Mill, where each child in costume will receive a special Halloween treat!

 

For the next two weekends enjoy Halloween-themed canvas painting or sculpture painting pumpkins, bats and skeletons. See their calendar of activities here.

Cost: $35.

 

On Oct. 31 from 12-4pm, bring your car, truck, or motorcycle to the 2nd Annual Conviction and Sauce Monkey Spirits Trunk or Treat Car Show! They'll have free food, music, and trophies for registered vehicles. Enjoy a free Conviction and Sun dog Liquor tasting from 1-4pm. Bring your kids to see the cool cars and grab some candy before you head out to trick-or-treat.

 

Celebrate Halloween at home with a Take & Make kit! From painting, customizable wood signs, wood pumpkins, to string art, yarn pumpkins, and chunky yarn blankets, they offer several ways to get crafty!

Cost: ~$40

 

On Oct. 31 at 6pm, take part in this family-friendly trunk-or-treating event. Kids can hop from trunk to trunk and docked boat to boat and enjoy free face-painting. They'll also have a haunted maze upstairs for the whole family to enjoy.
